Influence of different irrigation methods on growth and yield of summer greengram (Vigna radiata L.)

A field experiment was conducted at Wetland farm, Department of Agronomy, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during summer 2022 to study the effect growth and yield parameters greengram under different irrigation methods. The laid out in randomized complete block design having seven treatments replicated thrice. treatment are T1: Check basin method (Line sowing), T2: (Broadcasting), T3: Raised bed T4: Ridges furrow T5: Drip system T6: (Broadcasting) T7: Sprinkler sowing).Experimental results showed that significantly higher plant height, number branches plant-1, pods pod weight seeds seed haulm were recorded drip sowing) which on par with sprinkler sowing). systems (42.1% 36.1%, respectively) over check (Broadcasting). This revealed methods along line sowing resulted better enhanced its production.
